Make sure you have tissues on hand. You’re going to need them. It was Super Bowl LVII, but it truly was “The Kelce Bowl.” Brothers Travis and Jason Kelce had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play each other in the biggest game of the season, and they were able to do it in front of their mom, Donna.
“The moment I saw mom is when I got really emotional because man, it was so awesome …” Jason paused as he got emotional on the “New Heights” podcast.
“Oh man … f–k,” Jason continued as Travis wiped tears from his eyes.
The Kansas City Chiefs would go on to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-35 on Sunday, but listening to this conversation, it was so much more than football.
“It was awesome for — you know, she was on top of the world for a week,” Jason said.
“She was the heavyweight champ, man,” Travis added.
The pure emotion here from the Kelce's is amazing ❤️

Travis Kelce is now the highest-scoring tight end in NFL postseason history. After he caught an 18-yard touchdown from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the first quarter of the game. It was the 16th of his career and it surpassed former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski for the all-time playoff record.

Donna ended up having a long list of media appearances to make during the big game. During an interview on opening night, Donna surprised her kids with homemade cookies and a handwritten note, something different than her typical pregame ritual. She would typically send them each a text, but this was an extra special occasion.
She also embraced all of the extra attention on herself. She said her boys have been doing it for 10 years being in the spotlight, and she was happy to do it for a week. Travis agreed. “She was on top of it and she shined the whole time, that was the coolest part,” Travis said. “Mom, you actually killed it. Dad, you’ve been killing it.”
“Just so happy for her,” Jason added.
Someone bring me the tissues!
