Over the past few seasons, Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce has emerged as one of the most reliable and consistent receiving threats in the entire league – and not just among tight ends, but receivers, too. And ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, he revealed the secret to his success.

During a press conference on Thursday afternoon, Travis Kelce was asked why he’s always open, and he had one simple answer: head coach Andy Reid.

“Why am I always open? I say it all the time: Andy Reid, baby. Big Red,” Kelce said according to Pro Football Talk. “He can dial stuff up at the right time, create some things at the right time, and then on top of that everybody’s doing their jobs. It’s not just a me go out there and get open type play. I’m sure you guys like to think that, but there’s a lot of madness to it, and there’s a lot of guys doing their jobs for the big picture. I’m fortunate that I’m playing here, for sure.”

Kelce will be hoping that Reid will be able to develop a gameplan that can win him yet another Super Bowl this weekend.
