Travis Kelce

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce rubbed many NFL fans the wrong way after the team’s victory in Super Bowl LVII.

Right after Kansas City’s 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, a very animated Kelce shared his thoughts with Fox Sports

“Not one of y’all said the Chiefs were gonna take it home this year!” Kelce said. “Not a single one! Feel that s**t! Feel it.”

It’s an incredible reach for anyone to consider the Chiefs as underdogs, even if they did enter the game as 1.5-point underdogs in Las Vegas. But this is a team that made its third appearance in the last four Super Bowls. The Chiefs won 14 game this season, tied with Philadelphia for the most in the NFL. They scored the most points, led the league in total offense and have the league MVP in Patrick Mahomes.

So if the Chiefs can play the underdog role, so can the NBA’s Golden State Warriors of the past decade.

NFL fans found Kelce’s underdog comments ridiculous.

Joe Fann tweeted, “The Chiefs have been one of the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl for each of the last four years. Travis Kelce can spare me this underdog nonsense.”
