Travis Kelce is known to spike the football in the end zone. He’s also now known for spiking baseballs, too.

The two-time Super Bowl Champion tight end threw out the first pitch at the Cleveland Guardians game Friday afternoon. The Kansas City Chiefs star will probably stick to catching footballs over throwing them after an absolutely terrible first pitch.

“Travis Kelce, First Pitch…with Tai,” Rob Friedman posted. Kelce toed the rubber and threw the ball right into the ground!

The ball got away from the catcher, ace pitcher Shane Bieber, and Guardians mascot, Slider.

Hilarious reactions were felt around the sports world after Kelce’s hilariously bad pitch. The video went viral and has been reposted by many.

Patrick Mahomes couldn’t hold in his laughter over watching his star teammate throw one like that. Mahomes used to play baseball, perhaps some pointers were necessary!

Bleacher Report said the pitch “was a bit short.” That might be putting it mildly.

Pitching Ninja also pointed out similar mechanics to Kelce’s spike and the famed Gronk Spike.

And the man himself didn’t take himself very seriously after the pitch either.

“Been spiking a football for the past 10 years…can you tell?” Kelce asked his followers. We sure can!

Kelce now joins a dubious list of stars and performers who’ve toed the rubber and come up a bit short in ceremonial first pitches.
