While the early part of the season has gone well for the Dallas Cowboys, Thursday was a bad day. News broke that Trevon Diggs, the two-time Pro Bowler and one of the NFL’s best defensive backs, tore his ACL.
Diggs will, of course, miss the remainder of the season. And Micah Parsons is ready to rally behind his injured teammate.
Through the season’s first two weeks, Parsons has not only emerged as the early favorite for the NFL Defensive Player of the Year but has been a legitimate MVP candidate.
Much of the NFL world sent its best wishes to Diggs when news of the injury broke. Parsons did the same and also made it clear that the team will rally behind its fallen teammate.
“I am my brothers keeper! I got you 7! No more need to be said!” Parsons tweeted, along with photos of the pair taking the field at AT&T Stadium and in pregame warmups at Lambeau Field.

Parsons will be even more significant in the Dallas defense going forward. He’s been a force during the first two games of the season. Parsons has recorded three sacks, four tackles (all solo), has a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
