The NFL world has been worried about the health of Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa since he was stretchered off the field Thursday night after a violent hit that left him incapable of moving. The fact that it came just four days after a similar hit that seemed to leave Tagovailoa with concussion-like symptoms has a lot of NFL fans and media wondering if the franchise and the league are doing what’s best for him as he recovers.

On Friday, Tagovailoa posted a statement on Twitter in which he said he was feeling better and that he looks forward to being able to play again.

“I want to thank everyone for all of their prayers and support since the game last night,” Tua wrote. “It was difficult to not be able to finish the game and be there with my teammates, but I am grateful for the support and care I’ve received from the Dolphins, my friends and family, and all the people who have reached out. I’m feeling much better and focused on recovering so I can get back out on the field with my teammates.”

No one is providing any kind of injury update or timeline of recovery for Tua just yet, but it’s a good sign that he’s recovering and feel like he’ll be able to play again one day soon.

In the meantime, the statement garnered a lot of reactions from the NFL world.
