Urban Meyer was fired by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday night and you had to imagine it was a rough night for the Meyer family.

Meyer’s wife has been pretty outspoken over the years, at least until she decided to leave Twitter a few months ago over the controversy surrounding her COVID-19 thoughts.

His daughter Gigi appears to have picked up the slack when it comes to publicly sharing opinions about her dad and his position.  She took to Instagram to defend Urban and also share some thoughts with his critics.

“The enemy (aka the world) really doesn’t wanna see good people win,” she wrote. “And you can argue whether my dad is a ‘good person’ or not based on what you see in the media (super reliable source of info as we know).

“Anyone who truly knows us knows how incredible he is as a person. And the world hates any platform we have, so he’s going to create chaos to destroy it. Little does he know he’s making it stronger. It’s not over. Keep watching.”

“The enemy wants us to crumble and crawl into a hole. But I think you just released the kraken in me.”

Understandably, Meyer will get lots of support from his family. But otherwise, plenty of people think this firing was long overdue and that Urban brought it on himself with his actions and lack of accountability.

We don’t know where Urban goes from here but regardless of what little support he gets from the rest of the world, he’ll clearly have the support of his family no matter what.
