The Jacksonville Jaguars clinched a spot in the NFL playoffs on Sunday by defeating Mike Vrabel and the Tennessee Titans, 20-16.

After the game, Jaguars veteran wide receiver Marvin Jones couldn’t resist taking a thinly veiled shot at former head coach Urban Meyer.

“Marvin Jones on the notion the Jaguars were broken after last year with Urban Meyer,” Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported.

“I think one person was broken. It wasn’t us,” Jones told Fowler.

Meyer coached the Jaguars for less than one season after three seasons and a national championship with the Ohio State Buckeyes. After a public humiliation involving a lap dance at his own restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, following a Week 4 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and a December-firing at the hands of the Jaguars, Meyer returned to Fox Sports as part of their Big Noon Kickoff crew.

The Jaguars finish the season 9-8, which is good enough for first place in the AFC South. The Jaguars finished 3-14 in 2022, with Meyer winning two of those games in his tenure. The Jaguars finished in last place in the division.

This is the Jaguars’ first AFC South title since 2017 when the Jaguars finished 10-6 under then-first-year head coach Doug Marrone.
