The relationship between Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and pop icon Taylor Swift has essentially taken over the NFL world. However, one NFL player plans to use their relationship as a trash-talking opportunity once they face off in Week 5.

The Chiefs are heading to U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 5 to take on the Minnesota Vikings. Ahead of the matchup, Vikings starting cornerback Byron Murphy spoke about the added attention the game will likely get due to Kelce’s relationship with Swift.

“Oh man, the social media is going crazy,” Murphy told ESPN’s Kevin Seifert on the Swift-Kelce storyline. “And I’m not hating against it. That’s the world we’re living in. Is she going to come to this game? We’re locked in, but that would be something. I’ve been watching her since I was a kid.”

While Murphy did say that he was a fan of Swift, he made it clear that he plans to spoil the party if Swift does indeed make the trip to Minnesota for the game.

“That would be cool, for sure,” said Murphy on Swift potentially going to the game. “Not for him, because we’re going to try to get our hands on him in front of her.”

Murphy then added that he plans to use Kelce’s relationship with Swift to potentially rile him up with trash talk during the game.

“I’m going to say something to him to get him going,” Murphy added.

It will be easier said than done for Murphy to get into Kelce’s head, as Kelce is obviously one of the most dynamic offensive players in all of football.

That being said, it’s worth a shot to try and throw him off his game, as the Chiefs have looked excellent since their Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions.
