There has certainly been a ton to celebrate for Cousins and the Vikings, who sit atop the NFC North with the second-best record in the NFL, only behind the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.
This great start comes just one season after Minnesota missed the playoffs, so a ton of credit can certainly be given to both Cousins and first-year head coach Kevin O’Connell.
Minnesota has been impressive thus far this year, but they notably have only one win over teams that are currently over .500, beating the Miami Dolphins in Week 6.
They will face some stiffer competition in the next few weeks, facing off against the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and New York Jets in consecutive games.
These upcoming games will certainly show whether the Vikings are true contenders in the NFC, or pretenders that have benefitted from a soft schedule thus far.
