The Minnesota Vikings lost 38-31 to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night in a shootout, and their long snapper suffered an even more painful loss.

Kevin McDermott lost the tip of his pinky finger in the second quarter, when the finger got caught inside another player’s facemask.

Oh, and McDermott returned to the game after getting the finger stitched up in the locker room. ESPN’s Courtney Cronin reports that the expectation is for McDermott to be able to play through the finger injury/loss going forward.
