The Las Vegas Police Department body cam video of the DUI crash involving former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III is going viral.
In the new video, obtained by TMZ Sports, a man begs police to check on Ruggs after the accident.
Ruggs was intoxicated and speeding when he killed Tina Tintor and her dog on Nov. 2, 2021. Ruggs later pleaded guilty so he would have to serve no more than 3-10 years in prison.
“I know somebody probably in there,” the man said of Tintor’s Rav4, “but this is Henry Ruggs right here. This is Henry Ruggs right here. He plays for the Raiders. He needs help ASAP.”
After police arrived on the scene, they had to calm down the unidentified man as he pleaded with them to check on Ruggs.
“Hey, look, he plays for the Raiders,” the man repeated. “He needs help ASAP, bro.”
The ambulance later arrived on the scene but it was too late to save Tintor, as a stunned Ruggs looked in disbelief at what had taken place.
The video is hard to watch as you hear Tintor’s car explode in the background. Had this case gone to trial, Ruggs could have faced as many as 50 years in prison.
Now his fate will be decided this summer.
