There has been a ton of controversy surrounding the Washington Commanders and owner Dan Snyder, and more embarrassing news emerged Wednesday.

According to Chris Russell of 106.7 The Fan, a radio station in the Washington, D.C. area, a check the Commanders issued to a raffle winner bounced.

The fan called into the radio show and revealed a check issued from “Washington Football Charitable Foundation” for $14,000 bounced.

Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post revealed a statement about the situation from a Commanders spokesperson, saying that the bounced check is a result of a “bank error.”

“We’ve reached out to the fan and sent an electric payment directly to his account. It was a bank error, and we have reached out to the bank to determine what happened, and to ensure it doesn’t happen again.”

It is great to hear that the organization made it right with the fan, but many have taken to social media to criticize the Commanders for this hilarious situation.

Considering Dan Snyder has shown a history of “unlawful patterns of financial conduct,” it isn’t exactly surprising to hear this news.

Regardless, it is startling to see a multi-billion-dollar organization bounce a $14,000 check, bank error or not.

A number of owners have spoken out against Dan Snyder remaining the owner of the Commanders in recent days.

Considering all that Snyder has done along with this wild story, it seems like everyone would be far better off without him as the owner in Washington.
