There can be no debate: Steelers kicker Chris Boswell has given us the worst onside kick of all-time.

Pittsburgh, which had trailed Baltimore 21-0 early in the fourth-quarter, had just scored a touchdown to cut the score to 21-14 with 48 seconds to play.

The Steelers sent out Boswell, a third-year kicker on his third NFL team, for a last-ditch onside kick.

It did not go well.

Chris, buddy, you’re supposed to kick the ball forward.

On closer examination, Boswell seems to be looking right at the ball, so that’s a good start. But he got on top of it and ended up trapping it under his foot. Whoops.

The fact that Boswell then tried to boot the ball downfield is pretty funny. Not how it works, Chris.

The botched onside kick essentially ended the game, sending Pittsburgh home with a 21-14 loss.
