The New England Patriots offense is pretty scary with either Jimmy Garoppolo or Tom Brady. But there was something scarier than the Patriots’ high-powered offense in Foxborough on Sunday.
That would be a mask of Brady. This scary-ass mask was seen in the tailgate lots outside of Gillette Stadium on Sunday. As fans quickly found out, the man behind the mask wasn’t the suspended New England quarterback. Rather, it was former Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker.

The mask was first seen in Arizona ahead of the Sunday night matchup between New England and the Arizona Cardinals. This Fake Brady was a talk of the tailgates and an easy promotional tool for Bleacher Report.
Dude in Tom Brady mask at Cardinals tailgate. Almost looks real. @photochowder pic.twitter.com/r7xkC1PEjR

Based on the two photos, I have a hard time believing Welker was in the mask during the first game. The guy in Arizona was much scrawnier than the Welker.
With as much traction as this Fake Brady campaign is making, this isn’t the last time we will see the horrifying mask. Even Brady himself admitted that the mask was scary.
But now that we know that the man behind the mask could be a former NFL receiver, it will be intriguing to see who is dawning the mask next week.
