Bengals offense

The high-powered Cincinnati Bengals offense has gained lots of notoriety and fans. But Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay isn’t one of them.

This weekend, Kansas City and Cincinnati meet again in the AFC Championship Game. Last year, Joe Burrow stunned the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium en route to the team’s first Super Bowl appearance since Super Bowl XXIII. Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, among others, beat the Chiefs again earlier this season in Cincy. So some animosity has been building.

Gay decided to let everyone know that he was not a fan of the prolific Bengal attack.

“Not many words from Chiefs LB Willie Gay today but one things stood out,” wrote Fox 4 KC TV reporter PJ Green. “‘What impresses you about that Bengals offense?'”

“Nothing,” Gay replied. Gay kept it short and sweet and restated “nothing” before he continued fielding questions.

Trash-talk between both sides is oftentimes appreciated. So, good on the Bengals and the Chiefs for both partaking this week. It only creates more anticipation for the game on Sunday, which should be a treat. It always is when you get two of the best teams in the league together, with two exciting and elite quarterbacks with stars all over.

If the trash-talk is any indication, the 2023 AFC Championship Game could be a real firecracker.
