Artemi Panarin has had an extremely strong start to his NHL career, scoring 61 goals over two seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks. Despite his many successes, there’s one thing the talented 25-year-old is still searching for – a bread sponsor.

Recently, the Columbus Blue Jackets forward has taken to Twitter to try and find himself a bread sponsor for the upcoming season. Why? Because his nickname is the Bread Man and seemingly everyone from hockey players to hockey fans are trying to find ways to kill time before the 2017-18 season.

With Panera in mind, Panarin hit them up first for a potential deal by showing off some bread slippers.

Panera responded with some slippers of their own, but they didn’t mention a sponsorship.

Next, Panarin reached out to Wonder Bread as his quest for a bread sponsor continued.

Panarin actually makes a pretty solid Ricky Bobby. Sadly, as of the posting of this article, Wonder Bread hasn’t responded to Panarin’s pitch. We’re not sure how they’d be able to turn down such a great photo.

Who will Panarin pitch next? Though Panera seemed like the best and most appropriate fit, Panarin has a long list of companies he could propose including Sara Lee, Bimbo and dozens and dozens of others. Maybe a local bakery in Columbus will reach out to sponsor one of the Blue Jackets’ newest players?

Here’s hoping Panarin keeps his bread quest going as its a fun distraction before the regular season begins.
