The Edmonton Oilers trailed the New York Rangers 5-4 with three minutes remaining in regulation on Friday night (and trailed 4-1 in the second period), when their superstar came to the rescue.

Connor McDavid put filthy moves all over the New York defense to score a game-tying goal with 2:59 remaining. This is a truly ridiculous goal:

Incredible.

In overtime, Leon Draisaitl scored the game-winner for Edmonton with 1:33 remaining:

The McDavid goal certainly deserved to be part of a winning effort, and it’s an excellent Goal of the Year candidate.
