United States President Donald Trump has caused some high tensions with our neighbors to the North after threatening tariffs on Canada and even trying to strongarm them into annexation as America’s 51st state.
However, Canada was able to exact its revenge, defeating the United States 3-2 in overtime in the final of the inaugural Four Nations Face-Off. And people are coming after Trump for America’s humiliation.
“I just want to wish you a lot of luck. You really are a skilled group of people. It’s an honor to talk to you… We’ll be watching tonight. Bring it home,” Trump said to the US’s team to offer words of encouragement, but now those words are being blamed for the brutal defeat.
“this is probably why we lost,” CBS Sports reporter Ashley Nicole Moss wrote on Twitter.
“so far hes 0-2. shooked hands with the chiefs and they lost badly. and now this,” one fan added.
“Trump worse than The Drake curse. At least Drake wins sometimes,” another fan added.
“Not sure that’s the reason but it was the reason I was cheering for Canada. Only MAGA was cheering for USA. The rest of us Americans stood ten toes in on business and said [expletive] DONALD TRUMP,” added someone else.
It’ll be if Trump has anything to say about his naysayers.
