There’s only one Don Cherry. On Saturday January 23rd, the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL will pay tribute to hockey’s most colorful character in the only possibly appropriate way.
By wearing some of the most bizarre uniforms ever seen in a professional sporting event.
The Walleye will trot this uniform out on the ice, a Cherry-inspired checkerboard suit in the team’s blue and gold colors, which may be one of the most amazing we have ever seen.
Now all we need is for Cherry to don the uniform for an episode of Coach’s Corner.
