Calgary Flames rookie forward Sam Bennett had his first career hat trick on Wednesday night against the Florida Panthers.

And he scored all three goals in the first period!

Bennett, the fourth pick at the 2014 NHL Draft, scored his first of the night 56 seconds into the game. After Johnny Gaudreau put Calgary up 2-0 at 5:52, Bennett scored at 12:01 and again at 17:01 to give the Flames a 4-0 lead.

Here’s video of the 19-year-old’s incredible first-period performance:

What makes this even crazier is the fact that Bennett had gone 18 consecutive games without a goal, before scoring one on Monday night in the Flames’ 5-4 loss to the San Jose Sharks.

UPDATE: In the third period, Bennett topped off his incredible night with this ridiculous fourth goal.
