It’s safe to say Jeff Zatkoff had a good time during his day with the Stanley Cup.
The former Pittsburgh Penguins third-string goalie, who captured a Game 1 victory in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, had his day with the Stanley Cup this week, and he certainly made the most of it.
Zatkoff decided to take the Stanley Cup down a water slide with some buddies. It’s got to be the first time that’s happened.

Zatkoff also decided to get some shots in at the links while riding in a golf cart with his new friend.

I’m not sure what’s happening in this picture, but Zatkoff took a photo with his golf buddies where there’s something hiding in his shirt. Perhaps he snuck a couple cold ones into the course?

Zatkoff really wanted to spend as much time as possible with the prestigious championship trophy, as he took the Stanley Cup to get a bite to eat at a Bojangles restaurant.

Zatkoff isn’t a member of the Penguins anymore since he signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Kings this offseason. However, the new contract doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy his day with the Stanley Cup. Rarely do third-string goalies ever make an impact in the playoffs, but Zatkoff had a memorable performance and had a hand in helping the Penguins go all the way.
Zatkoff appeared to enjoy his day immensely. I would too if I was carrying around the Stanley Cup.
