Donald Trump naturally hasn’t been the most popular man amongst Canadians amidst ongoing threats of tariffs on imported good from Canada and the desire to even potentially move for Canada to become a U.S. state, much to the chagrin of many Canadians. But on Thursday, Canada dealt the United States and Trump one major blow in the NHL’s 4 Nations Face-off
Team Canada was able to defeat Team USA in the final game of the 4 Nations Face-Off on Thursday night. And naturally, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made it a point to let Trump hear about it.
Trudeau, who has been publically blasted for years by Trump, took to social media to send an incredibly clear message to President Trump, outlining that Trump cannot take the game of hockey from Canadians and cannot take the country either.
“You can’t take our country and you can’t take our game,” wrote Trudeau in a post on X.

Given Trump’s propensity to speak his mind at any given time, chances are it won’t take long for him to fire right back at Trudeau in some fashion.
But just as the Canadians stood their ground against the United States on the ice, Justin Trudeau stood his ground on Trump’s constant threats against Canada’s rights as a free country.
