Now is the time to hit the back button on your browser if you don’t like seeing blood. Still here? Good, because you’re about to watch one of the most brutal and bloody fights seen in the NHL this season.

With the Calgary Flames attempting to win their ninth-straight game, Sam Bennett and Jacob Trouba engaged in a vicious scrap near the end of the second period. After the officials broke things up, it was clear both players needed some repairs.

That’s one hell of a fight.

Neither player has a ton of fighting experience (this was the fourth of Bennett’s career and the fifth for Trouba), but you wouldn’t know it by watching the fight above. Despite being evenly matched both in terms of experience and size, Bennett dominates.

Too often you’ll see two players drop their gloves and then one of two things will happen – the fight turns into a wrestling/hugging match or all of the punches will be so wild that none of them end up finding their mark. Here, both players land some blows and Bennett in particular drops some bombs on his opponent.

Chalk this up as one of the year’s best.
