in Game One of the Eastern Conference Second Round during the 2016 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at Verizon Center on April 28, 2016 in Washington, DC.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are heating up, and the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins gave us a classic in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

The two teams went into overtime at 3-3, with T.J. Oshie needing just one goal for a hat-trick. Oshie would get his hat-trick, and the Stanley Cup favorite Capitals would take a 1-0 series lead in the series.

Oshie made his way across the ice, whipped around the goalie, and snuck the puck in for the winning goal. The Capitals home crowd went crazy, throwing their hats, and anything they could find onto the ice in celebration.

Of course, there was some awesome video coming from the crowd, that shows the mayhem in the stands after the goal, and the hat trick that resulted from it.

It took an overtime, but the Capitals held home ice, and will look to do the same in Game 2 against the Penguins, who will hope for a change in fortune.
