Some might have said that the peak of Ryan Miller’s hockey career has already passed him by. However, those folks might have some second-guessing to do following a save Miller made on Thursday.
With Miller’s Vancouver Canucks trailing late in the third period, the American-born goalie made his way to the bench to make room for an extra attacker. But as Miller was moving toward the bench, a puck came near the empty net. Miller made an unbelievable snag that will make your jaw drop:

Holy cow. That is some sort of extension by Miller. It seems nearly impossible that someone would be able to extend that far, much less while on hockey skates.
Unfortunately for Miller, the save came in a Canucks’ loss to the Detroit Red Wings. And while some might doubt Miller’s ability, Thursday’s prolific save shows that Miller still has some left in the tank.
