Ryan Crouser is a U.S. Olympic shot put gold medalist. He stands at 6-foot-7, and almost 300 pounds. Crouser is a large human being who takes on 6,000 calories per day.

After a 4-year grind and achieving his goal during the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio, he’s been able to splurge a bit. As he told the New York Post, this includes drinking a lot without getting a hangover. A 12-pack of beer, at that.

From the New York Post’s Brandon Drenon:

Nobody would dare call him a lightweight, and his impressive offseason capacity for a night out proves the point.

“How many beers can you drink and still function the next morning?” I asked. Dangerous question.

“It depends on the type of beer. If it’s something easy like a Bud Light, I can take down a 12-pack and still have an effective workout the next morning.”

It helps being young, and his huge frame certainly plays a factor in being able to wake up the next day and not be a zombie. Either way, it’s an impressive feat. More importantly, hopefully he’s responsible while taking in that much alcohol.
