When you are the fastest man in the world attending your fourth Olympic games, like Usain Bolt is, you apparently get to do what you want.

Tired of those drawn-out opening ceremonies? Fine. You don’t have to go.

Wary of those boring, time-consuming press conferences? Go ahead and make it your own personal celebration.

Bolt was noticeably absent during the parade of nations last Friday, and he got on snapchat to tell his followers he would not be at the ceremony because he was enjoying a “lazy” day. That devil-may-care attitude manifested itself yet again when the Jamaican sprinter held his Olympic press conference on Monday, which was basically just a Bolt appreciation session.

Lets start with the entrance. Its frowned upon for the media to cheer, right? Well, apparently no one told Bolt that, or if someone did, he just did not care. When he walked out in front of a silent room, Bolt demanded applause from the gathered throng. And they complied.

The press conference started like any other with questions from the media, but it was not long before Bolt love fest continued there as well. Instead of asking a question, one journalist stood up and simply rapped an ode to Bolt.

However, the real treat came at the end. As Bolt stood up to leave the conference, he was joined by a gaggle of Brazilian Samba dancers to escort him off the stage.

It is good to be fast, folks.
