Colin Cowherd discusses Tom Brady's absence

The Republican party will likely control the House of Representatives when the dust settles on the 2022 midterm elections. The Senate remains to close to call.

Though it was a GOP victory on Tuesday night, the result was not the predicted romp that many oddsmakers and media members predicted.

Fox commentator Colin Cowherd made one of the most noticeable predictions before Tuesday’s elections:

Red wave is coming Tuesday. Don’t mess [with] people’s kids. It lands differently — and they will hold a grudge. Can’t blame ’em. That’s my Ted Talk,” the radio host tweeted.

The sports world was quick to act to the disastrously wrong prediction:

“Y’all gonna need to fade his sports and political picks moving forward,” said Matt Tamanini.

“The guy actually does a segment on his sports radio show every Wednesday called Where Colin Was Wrong. Today is Wednesday, how convenient,” said Shiv Ramdas.

“Another bad take from the guy who once said Eagles fans weren’t “cerebral” enough to appreciate former head coach Chip Kelly,” said Rob Tornoe.

“Might have to have celebrity guest pickers do political analysis now,” Ben Axelrod wrote.

“Hey Colin! Huge fan. Just checking back in on this. I’ll take my answer off the air. Have a great day!” Cory Kinnan wrote.

The lesson, in the end, is that politics is like sports. There’s a reason you must play the game.
