Dave Portnoy, Elon Musk, Donald Trump Dave Portnoy, Elon Musk, Donald Trump

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy has been quite open about his conservative views and his support for United States President Donald Trump in recent years, including in the 2024 presidential election. But it sounds like he is not completely happy with the way things are going in Trump’s first few weeks in office.

In a post on social media this week, Dave Portnoy offered a pretty critical view of both Donald Trump and Elon Musk as he asked a few questions to express his displeasure with some recent events in the country.

“If I’m gonna be fair these questions needs to be asked today. Why is the release of the Epstein list always a [expletive] show? What’s the point of booting out illegals and criminals while somehow becoming a safe haven for the Tate brothers? Why is Crypto in the toilet if Trump is crypto king? How far does Tsla stock have to crash before Elon goes back to work?” Portnoy wrote in a post on X.

Portnoy’s first question refers to the Trump administration’s promise to release all documents related to Jeffrey Epstein – a promise that has not been fulfilled yet despite the Department of Justice releasing a few documents to right-wing influencers on Thursday, most of which was not new information.

The second question refers to Trump’s promise to deport dangerous illegal immigrants and secure the border while also going out of his way to bring Tristan and Andrew Tate back to the United States. Andrew Tate is a self-proclaimed misogynist social media influencer. He and his brother are currently facing rape and human trafficking charges that are still pending in Romania. However, Trump made a point to bring them back to the United States.

Portnoy’s third concern stems from the current prices of the various cryptocurrencies with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the vast majority of other cryptocurrencies down substantially since Trump took office last month.

The final concern expressed by Portnoy is that Tesla has seen its stock price fall drastically in recent weeks and months while CEO Elon Musk spends his time in the Trump administration working in his controversial role in the Department of Government Efficiency.

Clearly, Portnoy – like many other Americans – is not exactly happy with the way things have gone under Trump so far in his second term.
