Donald Trump Elon Musk

Donald Trump has been extremely busy since returning to the Oval Office. Trump has signed numerous executive orders and has found himself in the middle of trade wars with Canada and Mexico.

Elon Musk, appointed to Trump’s administration as an efficiency expert, has also been extremely busy since Trump’s return to the White House. Musk, operating through the new agency DOGE, has been busy gutting other government agencies and stripping the government down to the studs.

However, it seems that Trump has had enough of Elon and his mass firings across the government.

“Trump puts new limits on Elon Musk; Tells Cabinet he has no authority to fire workers — POLITICO,” Newswire reported on Thursday.

People reacted to the shocking news on social media.

“The typical ‘he has no right to fire workers’ after he was found to be trying to fire workers. I’d wager if those judges hadn’t blocked the firing this never would put out this ‘new limit,'” one person wrote on Twitter.

“He’s only doing that because he admitted during the state of the union that Elon was in charge of doge. And his attorneys lied to the courts about it,” another person added.

“Three different outcomes from this: -Trump changes his mind and Elon continues to fire workers (nothing ever happens) -Elon follows these orders and stops firing (nothing ever happens) -Elon just ignores Trump and Trump does not retaliate (nothing ever happens),” one person added.

It’ll be interesting to see how Musk responds to being reined in.
