Global pop sensation Taylor Swift was already one of the biggest celebrities on the planet before this year, but her stardom reached a new level this year when she began dating Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce, transcending her fame into the sports realm where she received a ton of attention every time she attended any of Kelce’s games.
This year, Taylor Swift has been a household name in the entertainment world and sports world alike. As a result, she was named the TIME Person of the Year, but former United States President Donald Trump doesn’t seem too happy about it.
This week, Donald Trump shared an article on social media titled “Donald Trump is the Rightful ‘Person of the Year'” that criticized TIME for giving the award to Swift instead of him, with the article claiming that it was a “massive mistake” that Swift won the award instead of Trump.
The article claimed “Donald Trump has done more to save this country than any other president, person, or singer,” and Trump shared a link to the article on Truth Social, the social media site he helped create when he was banned from Facebook and Twitter in 2020.
Obviously, it’s pretty significant for Trump to make such a statement against Swift, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.
