United States President Donald Trump received some unfortunate news this weekend after one of his cherished golf courses was targeted by vandals. And it sounds like they plan to target him once again, giving him an ominous warning.
Trump, who owns several golf properties across the country, holds his Turnberry course in Scotland in particularly high regard. As a venue that has hosted multiple Open Championships, it stands as one of his most prestigious properties. However, this week, it became the target of vandalism.
Over the weekend, pro-Palestine protesters defaced the golf course, splattering red paint across the clubhouse, spraying graffiti throughout the grounds, and even causing damage to multiple putting greens.
The activist group Palestine Action has claimed responsibility for the act, linking it to Trump’s recent remarks about the Gaza Strip. The former president suggested that the United States could take control of the region and redevelop it with luxury resorts.
In a statement, the group said that it “rejects Donald Trump’s treatment of Gaza as though it were his property to dispose of as he likes.”
And the group added a pretty ominous warning to Trump, making it pretty clear that they might not be done targeting his properties.
“To make that clear, we have shown him that his own property is not safe from acts of resistance,” it said in a statement.
Clearly, Trump has been put on notice by the group of vandals.
