Washington, D.C., has been turbulent since the return of Donald Trump to the Oval Office. The beginning of Trump’s second term also saw tech billionaire Elon Musk join his administration in Washington as an efficiency expert.

However, things between Trump and Musk have taken a turn for the worse, and the relationship between the two appears to be over, according to one prominent journalist.

“WASHINGTON (AP) — Elon Musk leaves Trump administration after turbulent effort to slash government, AP source says,” reported Philip Lewis on Wednesday evening.

People reacted to the news on social media.

“Whatever Elon wanted from the US Government..he got it. Now Ms. Mama’s don’t want to be a politician anymore…this country is such a joke,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Every exit is scripted. This isn’t politics; it’s programming. Choose the coder, not the character,” someone else added.

“The Elon Musk exit was planned from the beginning and it was even announced before Trump got into office and repeated at the very beginning when he got into office Elon wasn’t supposed to be there past 180 days he was a special government employee not an real one,” added one person.

It’ll be interesting to see how Trump manages such a severe blow to his administration.
