After Donald Trump’s return to Washington, D.C., Elon Musk was welcomed into Trump’s administration as an efficiency expert after assisting Trump on the campaign trail leading up to the election.
Now, Musk is leaving the administration after many of his proposed cuts to the federal government failed to be approved. Now that he’s done working with the President, Musk isn’t holding back on how he actually feels about Trump’s work in the Oval Office.
“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it,” Musk tweeted on Tuesday.
People reacted to the tweet on social media.
“I’m sorry, but you spent $300-plus million to elect ( a jerk) and idiot because you knew you’d personally profit from it. You don’t get to look like a “good guy” on some sort of self-invited, ketamine-infused redemption tour just to boost the perception of Tesla back up,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“Today Elon reminded everyone: It’s not about Right vs Left. It’s about the Establishment vs the People,” someone else added.
“I give Elon credit. It took me about 11 years to become disillusioned by the Republican Party. He figured it out in about 180 days,” one person added.
It’ll be interesting to see what else Musk has to say about Trump now that their partnership is over.
