Donald Trump is dealing with a bit of a situation in Washington, D.C. Elon Musk recently left his role as an efficiency expert in Trump’s administration, and Trump was not shy in making it known how disappointed he was in Musk.

“I would have won Pennsylvania regardless of Elon…I’m very disappointed with Elon. He knew this bill better than anyone and he only developed a problem when he found out I would cut the EV mandate… When he left he said the most beautiful things about me, he hasn’t said anything bad yet but I’m sure that will be next…I’ve helped Elon a lot…

“Elon worked hard at DOGE and I think he misses the place…I think he got out there and he’s no longer in this beautiful Oval Office…it’s not just Elon, I think when some people leave they miss it so badly they develop a type of TDS…some embrace it and some become hostile,” Trump said in a video that’s going viral on social media.

Naturally, Musk fired back.

“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” Musk responded, before following up with, “Such ingratitude.”

People reacted to the spat on social media.

“Seriously, this isn’t the way Elon,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Watching the Trump–Elon fallout unfold exactly as I foresaw has me wondering if it’s time to step into the political analyst arena. Might be time to trade tweets for TV. That bromance had the shelf life of a carton of milk — and spoiled just as fast,” one person added.

“The math just isn’t there for these claims. I’m an Elon Musk fan but he’s wrong here. His biggest impact was on the popular vote – arguably, that victory was due to Musk/RFK. The numbers say Trump would likely have won all the swing states without Musk,” another person added.

It’ll be interesting to see if the pair ever make amends.
