Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Herschel Walker, and South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham on Fox News

Herschel Walker, the Republican Senate candidate in Georgia, is not known as a prolific public speaker. Still, Walker’s off-the-cuff style has him in a head-to-head runoff election with Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock.

But it still has its downsides while having to constantly campaign for another month. Tuesday, while speaking on Fox News with Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), Walker made an unfortunate slip of the tongue in a tough-talking spiel.

“This election isn’t about Herschel Walker,” Walker said. “This erection is about the people.”

Walker did not appear to catch the mistake at the moment.

Walker faces Warnock in one of the most bruising elections of the 2022 midterm cycle. Since neither candidate earned the 50% required by state law to win the election, Walker and Warnock are on to the head-to-head runoff.

Former presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama have campaigned for their party’s candidates. Even Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James entered the race to endorse Senator Warnock.

Walker raised an eye-popping $3.3 million in the first 24 hours of the new cycle as his campaign has grappled with how to handle Trump’s newly created presidential campaign.

Georgia voters head to the polls on Dec. 6th.
