Herschel Walker, the Republican candidate for Georgia, faces Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock in the most brutal election of the 2022 midterm cycle. The two candidates advanced to a head-to-head runoff election required by state law after neither candidate earned the 50 percent required to win the election outright on Nov. 8th.

The betting markets heavily favor a Warnock victory, giving the Democratic Senator roughly an 86 percent chance to win the election over Walker. The latest polling reveals a similar scenario.

According to a Fox 5 Atlanta poll conducted of 750 likely Georgia voters, Warnock leads Walker, 51 percent to 48 percent, in the final poll before Tuesday’s runoff election. That leaves one percent with no opinion or undecided on the race. The poll has a margin of error of three percentage points.

“Walker trails Warnock by three points in our survey, which is within the margin of error. Warnock leads among early votes cast by over sixty percent. That means that turnout on Tuesday will have to be unusually high for Walker to win,” said InsiderAdvantage Chairman Matt Towery told Fox 5. “Warnock and groups supporting him have continued their numerous personal attacks on Walker, which eroded Walker’s support among female voters. The Walker campaign has countered with similar ads concerning Warnock, but they have had limited resources and less support from outside organizations.”

Georgia voters decide the election on Nov. 6th.
