Former Georgia Bulldogs legend Herschel Walker is in the midst of a campaign for Georgia’s Senate seat as he runs as a Republican against incumbent Raphael Warnock. And as election day nears, it appears that the Democrats are getting quite nervous that Walker is going to win the seat.
In a video shared by Yahoo! News, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was overheard seeming to tell United States President Joe Biden that the race between Herschel Walker and Warnock was “going downhill for the Democrats in Georgia.
“The state where we’re going downhill is Georgia,” Schumer appeared to tell Biden in a candid conversation on a New York airfield, according to the Washington Post. “It’s hard to believe that they will go for Herschel Walker.”
According to one of the latest internal polls conducted by the Walker campaign, Walker holds a four-point lead over Warnock in the race. However, that contradicts some other polls that have Warnock in the lead by a narrow margin.
If Walker is able to defeat Warnock and win the seat, it will be despite plenty of controversies. Over the past few months, news has surfaced that the pro-life candidate financed a woman’s abortion and pressured another woman to get an abortion against her will. He also shocked the nation when he displayed a fake police badge at a debate, doesn’t understand diabetes, has a problem with lying, appears to hate trees, and apparently thinks there are 51 states.
