Longtime UFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan backed Donald Trump during the 2024 presidential election, but recent developments indicate he’s becoming increasingly critical of how things are going under the current administration.
Rogan has criticized Trump for the way he handled the release of the Epstein files, Trump’s immigration enforcement, and Trump’s comments on the death of filmmaker Rob Reiner. In August, Rogan took issue with Trump’s decision to ramp up tensions with Iran, calling the move “insane” given the promises he made on the campaign trail.
“It just seems so insane based on what he ran on. I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed. He ran on no more wars and these stupid, senseless wars. And then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it,” Rogan said on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
Rogan has even suggested that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have played a role in the decision to engage in a conflict with Iran.
“Why did we do it? I don’t know. I think because of Israel, if I had to guess,” he said. “Netanyahu kept visiting the White House. You think it’s a coincidence? Netanyahu keeps visiting the White House. And then eventually they decide to give in and start bombing.”
This week, Rogan made it abundantly clear that he feels if the “rich people” making the decisions actually cared about improving everyone’s lives, the world would be a a better place.
“Just imagine how much less crime there would be if no one was ever starving, no one was ever desperate, no one was ever worried about where their next meal was gonna come from or whether or not they’re gonna have a roof over their head,” he said on his podcast.

“What if there’s no more poverty? We could’ve already done that. But you would have to get all those rich people that are in charge of industry and running corporations and in government to agree to make the world a better place for everybody.”
Clearly, Rogan has changed his tune on what needs to happen for the world and country to improve.
