There’s just something about being in the South that makes one put on a Southern accent, whether intentionally or inadvertently.

LSU Tigers head coach Brian Kelly proved this in his first week on the job when he gave an introduction speech at an LSU basketball game with a Southern accent despite being from Boston and spending most of his adult life in the Midwest.

Tuesday night in Atlanta, Vice President Kamala Harris also adopted a new Southern accent, which she showed off during the middle of her speech at a campaign rally.

Naturally, social media users flocked to X to make the comparison between Harris and Kelly.
