Ron DeSantis

When the Kansas City Chiefs hosted the Jacksonville Jaguars, there were undoubtedly several VIPs in attendance, but one of them was Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who many expect to run for United States President during the next presidential election in 2024.

Ron DeSantis does not attend many NFL football games, but he was seen on the sideline during Saturday afternoon’s game in Kansas City, presumably supporting the Jacksonville Jaguars from his home state of Florida.

And it’s safe to say fans noticed him, with one many even encouraging him to run for president.

DeSantis walked near the stands and gave several high-fives as fans yelled and took photographs of his appearance. It was a surprising moment, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

This is not the first time DeSantis has had some sort of a connection with the NFL. Last year, it was revealed that DeSantis and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady sometimes text each other when Tim Michels, who ran for Wisconsin governor, took DeSantis to a Green Bay Packers game and saw him sending a text message to the star quarterback.

Based on this appearance in support of the Jaguars, it appears Brady is not the only NFL player from the state of Florida that he supports.
