Kendrick Lamar performs Oct. 13, 2023, on the American Express stage during Austin City Limits Music Festival at Zilker Park.

If you have been under a rock recently then you have missed the highly discussed rap beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Both have released diss records which has had the world of hip hop in a grip.

Everyone seems to be taking sides in this battle including athletes who are putting their two cents in on who is winning and which side they are taking, including tennis star Coco Gauff,

Gauff seems to be taking Kendrick’s side in this along with Naomi Osaka.

“I knew you were going to ask me this because you asked Naomi,” Gauff said after winning her opening match at the Foro Italico over Magdalena Freçh.“To be honest, yeah, I like Kendrick’s songs more. Yeah, I think pretty much everybody I know is leaning towards him. I do like Drake as an artist, as well. But, yeah, as far as like the rap battle that’s going on, the rap beef, I think definitely Kendrick is winning.”

Another reason the two tennis stars are team Kendrick is his defense of Serena Williams back in 2022 Drake dissed Williams and her husband in a song.

In “Not Like Us” the diss track that was released on May 4, Lamar warned Drake to “not speak on Serena”.

“Drake, like, dissed Serena so I have to go with Kendrick,” she added. “Kendrick defended her. So, yeah, I have to go with him.”
