No one would mistake Stranger Things as a sitcom but in the right context, it can happen. The people at Bad Lip Reading took on the Netflix sci-fi show to give us a Wonder Years/Goldbergs type coming-of-age sitcom.
The episode was about what you would expect in a sitcom typical sitcom. The boys writing a one-act play and performing it for Eleven was pretty funny. Chief Hopper loving modern Jazz and defending his love of modern Jazz to Joyce was pretty cool too.
I would say that if you’re a Barb fan, you may not want to watch because she’s very much a creep in this but other than that, enjoy what Stranger Things would be like as a sitcom.
