Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce and global pop sensation are getting married over the Fourth of July holiday weekend in a star-studded event slated to take place at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Per TMZ, the massive event is going to be a spectacle including “a massive castle being built inside a garden, with the legendary venue being transformed into a full-blown fairytale for the big July 3 wedding event.”

Details about the event have been hard to come by, and that figures to remain the case amid reports that guests will be required to sign electronic NDAs and that every invite was individually watermarked.

However, enough has come out that the wedding we know will be arguably the biggest event of the summer, and that hasn’t been wasted on Fanatics’ Michael Rubin, who moved his annual July 4th “White Party” up to July 1st rather than its usual date of July 3 or 4 because he “didn’t want people to have to choose” betweene his event and the wedding, per Page Six.

It’s a notion that Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy finds hilarious. Portnoy did not hold back in a post on X where he makes it clear he feels that Swift’s event is the bigger deal.

“Laugh out loud funny he thinks people would have had a hard time choosing between the two events. Rule of thumb. When you move your event that tells you what event people were choosing.”

It’s a somewhat shocking stance for Portnoy to take, considering he said “I’m sick of her” after she showed up to support the Knicks during the NBA Finals at, ironically, Madison Square Garden.
