If there’s anyone who knows the value of spectacle, it’s professional wrestling legend Goldberg. However, the former WWE and WCW champion did not appreciate the spectacle of Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance on Sunday.

Per TMZ, Goldberg talked about the performance on his podcast and did not mince words about what he thought of it.

“I thought Rihanna was frickin horrible,” Goldberg said. “I was disgusted by it. That’s all. Let’s just say that. I thought it was horrible.”

While co-host Matt “The Motorator” D’Andria said that the performance was “kind of boring,” Goldberg agreed by adding that was “the understatement of the year.”

Bill Goldberg, however, was a fan of Chris Stapleton’s National Anthem, however, saying the singer-songwriter sang that song “to the fullest.”

It’s unclear why the pro wrestler, who has been around plenty of wild and controversial performers in his career, had such an issue with Rihanna’s performance, but plenty of fans were just as confused and disappointed by his stance.

“If anyone knows a thing or two about horrible performances, it’s Goldberg,” said one Twitter user.

“Goldberg commenting on performance is hilarious considering he couldn’t have a match longer than 3 mins,” added another.

“I have no clue how people are so passionately inconvenience[d] by a halftime performance…,” said Chad Pedro.
