HBO Max’s LGBTQ+ hockey show, Heated Rivalry, has become a smash hit, seemingly overnight. The show is centered around a rivalry between hockey players fictional Canadian hockey player Shan Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Russian star Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), and the romance that is born from it.

Williams, who was on the Oscars red carpet, has been cast as Henry Park in an upcoming drama series, Yaga, which will be inspired by the myth of Baba Yaga.

Shockingly, Williams revealed in an interview on the red carpet that fans are going to “vehemently hate” his character in the show. Williams also said that he finds it “wild” that the show won’t be censored.

Fans reacted to Williams’ revelations on social media.

“Talking about ‘not censoring this’ oh this show is really about to be freaky,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“What does he mean they’re not censoring it…. what are we going to see while he is running around,” someone else wondered.

“I’ve been obsessed with Yaga ever since I read the book, I wish Crave would release tomorrow already,” one person wrote.

“Oh I’m so ready to hate him give him to me already,” another fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Williams’ prediction about how much Park is going to be hated proves to be true.
