Harambe will never die, especially if junior hockey teams use his life as a gimmick to get people to come to games, which is exactly what the Trenton Golden Hawks of the OJHL will be doing before their October 19th game.

Now the Hawks will only be wearing these uniforms during warmups, which is a darn shame, but to see Harambe hockey sweaters being worn at all is fairly amazing to me. And while this is a fairly shameless gimmick to get people to go to a very low level hockey game in suburban Toronto, this is being done for a good cause. The sweaters will be auctioned off after the game and proceeds will go to the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.
Silly gimmick capitalizing on a silly meme, though the gimmick is being done for a good cause in the end. We can allow it.
