The first Jurassic World had a stellar cast led by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Outside of the two stars, the fantastic B.D. Wong returned in his role as Dr. Henry Wu.

Wong was the only original cast member from the original Jurassic Park movies to reprise his role in the 2015 blockbuster Jurassic World, but Wong won’t be alone in the June 22nd, 2018 sequel.

Joining Wong in the sequel as the only other original Jurassic Park cast member will be Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcolm, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Naturally, fans of the franchise loved the news.

And I think it’s safe to say this was the best reaction on Twitter.

Goldblum was great in the original Jurassic Park movies and has been consistently solid in nearly everything he’s been in. That’s right, I liked him in The League.

Goldblum is used to returning to franchises or starring in big time sequels. Recently, the actor returned to the alien warfront and starred in the 2016 film Independence Day: Resurgence. In November, he will appear in Thor: Ragnarok.

The Hollywood Reporter didn’t have much on if Goldblum would feature prominently in Jurassic World 2 and only that he will simple “reprise his role.”

Goldblum will reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm, the know-it-all mathematician who came to the park as an insurance consultant — and somehow survived both the original film and the sequel.

While the return of Goldblum to the dinosaur franchise is welcome, it probably won’t have a huge impact on the box office numbers for Jurassic World 2. Back in 2015, Jurassic World was made with a $150 million budget and then brought in an incredible $1.670 BILLION at the box office.

Jurassic World 2 arrives in theaters in the United States on June 22nd, 2018.
