Justin Timberlake’s “The Man of the Woods Tour” has taken him to England this week. And since he couldn’t have possibly predicted this when he set his tour dates, this Wednesday’s concert at the O2 Arena in London falls on the same night as England’s World Cup semifinal against Croatia.

Instead of making his fans choose between their team and their singer, Timberlake’s pre-concert entertainment will be showing the match inside the arena and then have his concert afterward. Timberlake tweeted out a video letting his fans know that doors will open early and they can watch England play while at the show.

Timberlake is a Manchester United fan and he catches the occasional match whenever he can. Timberlake had a show at the O2 Arena Monday where he expressed his support for England. I would hope he would support England while playing a show in London. Otherwise, it would look pretty awkward if he came out wearing a Croatia kit.

This is a pretty cool idea and like Timberlake said, he wants to watch the match too so why not have everyone watch it together. I will point out that there’s two sides to this coin. If England wins, you’re going to see the most raucous Justin Timberlake concert ever. If England loses, his show is probably going to have the atmosphere of a funeral. So we’re going to see how this goes as everyone at the O2 Arena will be hoping for an England win on Wednesday.
